NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE WEEK 2014: Learn how naturopathic medicine can help with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia

TORONTO, May 14, 2014 – In conjunction with Naturopathic Medicine Week, which runs from May 12-18, the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) is presenting a special information session on Naturopathic Approaches to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.

The session will take place today, Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. at CCNM and will be presented by Louise McCrindle, naturopathic doctor and supervisor of the chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia specialty shift at the RSNC. She also co-authored The Complete Fibromyalgia Health, Diet Guide and Cookbook with Alison Bested, MD, FRCPC.
According to the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS), there are more than 215,000 people who have one or both of these conditions in the Greater Toronto Area. There are very few physicians practicing that specialize in these conditions – leaving many people feeling unsupported and isolated.
“I want patients to know they are not alone and that there is hope for the future,” says McCrindle. “There is so much more information available than there was 20 years ago. Slowly we are inching forward with new discoveries being made every year about these conditions and how they affect your body. This session will introduce participants to our model of care and give a snap shot of some of the approaches used and support available at the RSNC.”

Registration is required. Please visit www.ccnm.edu/cfs_fm for more information.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
